Equations written either inline or insert between paragraph text need to be tagged. The tag can be simple text description of the equation. As example “M equals 5.4 divided by A sub max” for the current equation used to determine the median of the natural mortality prior using the Hamel approach. Since creating tags by hand for equations would be time consuming and prone to variation based on the author, we should explore automated tagging approaches for equations to at least provide initial tags that could be modified if deemed necessary.
