favicons from the google's service won't show up in place (or inside) tiles. They will show up in docked folders (if you add some docked folders - in settings) or in search results. Try clicking search icon (under settings icon) in the top-right and see if you're getting these favicons
as for predefined icons (for tiles) - there are a couple of ways to do that:
you can drag&drop any image (from your desktop) onto any tile and it will set the thumbnail for this tile
you can allow Github (in Settings/privacy) and then in Settings/Customize you can pick a theme (e.g. Pure White). Once that's done - you can right-click any tile and in the Edit dialog you'll see "Pick from theme" button, where you can select some thumbnail images from this theme.
As for adding an icon-font like FontAwesome - I'd need to check their license to make sure they would allow me to distribute their font alongside my software (as that's a different use case than when you just use the font for your own site & icons). If the license permits that, I will consider adding that option.
Alternatively I can look for another icon. But that's a good idea :-)
Hello,
Thank you for your extension! Very nice and simple!
Problem: after I enable google, extension reload the page, but I don't see any favicons....
p.s. maybe some easy way to choose predefined images or use icons from awesome font?
