Are you using Expo?

I had the same problem with the preview in the Expo app.
Fixed it in a fork of mine:

Hi @lichtmetzger,
Could you please update your fork with the latest changes of the original repo? There are some fixes in the original repo that myself and others need (like the defaultProps fix) in combination with your fix for Expo.
