What steps will reproduce the problem?
0. Using Linux (Ubuntu 13.04) and propeller-elf-g++ 
(propellergcc-alpha_v1_9_0_2078) 4.6.1
1. Connect a Propeller board to the USB port and make sure it's on
2. propeller-load -r -t main.elf # Load some elf file
3. Disconnect propeller board while propeller-load terminal is still active

The CPU should not increase. Instead, it jumps to consume an entire core (i7 4 
core with hyperthreading disabled). See the attached screenshot of a Conky 
session.
