There are numerous files on the HGV board that are corrupt (i.e., empty), and for which neither the Recover branch not Make me finalizer buttons have worked. I attempted them today on the corrupt file SOSOL 2020 597.

In so doing, I noticed something that may be related to the corruption and the system's inability to retrieve submitted files like this: in an email, Graham Claytor cited this same submission (SOSOL 2020 597), but his citation listed a different publication number: https://papyri.info/editor/publications/90337 (vs. https://papyri.info/editor/publications/90340, which is how it is named on the HGV board). Evidently, 90337 is what he found on his dashboard. Clicking on 90337, to my delight, opened up the uncorrupted DDB text, HGV meta, and the HGV translation.

It appears to me that this publication has become identified with separate numbers:
SOSOL 2020 597 (Graham's dashboard) https://papyri.info/editor/publications/90337, data intact
SOSOL 2020 597 (HGV board) https://papyri.info/editor/publications/90340, data corrupt

I notice something similar with another submission: SOSOL 202 598 has both a working publication (https://papyri.info/editor/publications/90341) and a corrupt one on the HGV board (https://papyri.info/editor/publications/90345).

Admittedly, elsewhere I had only partial or less success: SOSOL 202 620 has a working DDB text but corrupt HGV at (https://papyri.info/editor/publications/90510). The file is also corrupt on the HGV board as https://papyri.info/editor/publications/90511.

If we can identify the publication numbers with intact XML for files that are otherwise corrupt, could a mechanism be designed to restore them?
