When running Pantheon Drupal instead of vanilla Drupal the following error is triggered: "Notice: Undefined index: drupal in update_requirements() (line 35 of /path/to/modules/update/update.install)."

@scottbuscemi it's not stale, just neglected by the Pantheon team. You should also close the patch I provided 10 years ago that fix this issue. See #28.

This issue and PR pre-dates my time at Pantheon. On the surface, it looks like the symptom (undefined index) is caused by a bug or a feature that (deliberately or inadvertently) removes Drupal core from consideration from the update manager. The proposed change fixes the symptom, but it's unclear to me whether applying the change would have any undesirable side effects. If we were going to do anything about this now, I would be inclined to merely hide the symptom rather than change any existing behavior.

These are just my impressions based on casual inspection; I did not investigate the operation or the history of the change, so it is possible that some of my assumptions may be off.
