Extracting a subset of whole paths of a graph always lead to new path names (with the start and end coordinates appended). Could you please think about an option to keep path names as they are (maybe if the number of output paths is the number of specified paths with -R or -b ...)? Currently, my workaround is to convert the subsetted graph to gfa, search/replace, and convert back to .og.
