WattTime invented Automated Emissions Reduction: a technique to detect pollution free electric moments, and software to sync IoT devices like smart thermostats to shift some of their energy use to these clean times.

Core Challenge

ETL to grab data, machine learning to process it, REST API to deliver it in real time to IoT companies to reduce emissions, web interface to communicate the results.

Projects

  • Backend: Help us expand internationally by writing web scrapers to analyze foreign energy grids in real time. Adding web scrapers for more countries will let us deploy our emissions-reducing software via the cloud to people in more places worldwide.
  • Frontend: Welp us improve our UI to show in a more intuitive way what our complex software is doing. Improving our UI will help make it more clear to people how this complex new technology works.

Core Skills Needed

Current Tech Stack

  • UX/UI
  • Python
  • Javascript
