I would like to say hello!

I would like to start this discussion to introduce myself as a newcomer in this community.
If it is not the right place or the right category for this type of discussion, please let me know.

I am Ranjan, a 20 years old Indian student studying computer science in an engineering school in India. I discovered the GSoC 2 days before and I found it very great. I never really contributed to any open source project but it this something that I planned to start doing this year. GSoC is a perfect opportunity for me to start doing so with a concrete goal at the same time!

As soon as I saw OSM as an organization for the GSoC I knew I would like to work on it. OSM interested me, so again it is a very nice opportunity to start working on it!

I know it will be difficult at first for me since I am just starting, the codebase is quite huge and not easy to tackle (and all the OSM system too). However, I am really motivated and I want to try my best and not give up.

I have started by reading the "GSoC 2023 Nominatim Projects" wrote by Lonvia on the wiki and I started by knowing the features of Nominatim , it was very nice! .
