see some of the discussion in #179 - it would be nicer for the user is there were a mechanism to save partially filled in forms. This is not necessarily by saving all the way the the backend database, but there might be a way of caching at the front end that would allow saving of partially completed forms https://github.com/tanstack/query that we are using might have some such facility already
