Apache Pulsar is Kafka API compatible. Would it be possible to support this as an alternative to it? We find it is more performant, reliable and cost efficient than Kafka. |

I think it definitely looks plausible! The surface area of the Kafka API we use in https://github.com/xtdb/xtdb/tree/master/modules/kafka isn't huge but there may still be gaps. If you get a chance to test Pulsar out as a drop-in replacement with the |

I think it definitely looks plausible! The surface area of the Kafka API we use in https://github.com/xtdb/xtdb/tree/master/modules/kafka isn't huge but there may still be gaps.
If you get a chance to test Pulsar out as a drop-in replacement with the
xtdb-kafkamodule and everything seems to work okay, then I would be pretty happy to spend some time sanity checking it against our full test suite. Equally, if you would like us to consider prioritizing this on our own roadmap, feel free to message me: [email protected]
