help with valkey sentinel

so i have this script which should be ran like this

but it seems like it's not running succesfully
ot at least somethings off:
as seen here the connection won't be made

the code is mostly forked from django-redis project, and it seems like thier tests are working fine so either i've messed up badly or valkey has a different API that i can't find
