Seeking App Example(s) Using Embedded SurrealDB and a GUI

To-date we've used Golang to create various single binary applications but would very much like to try the same using Rust, SurrealDB, SurrealDB's Rust SDK, and a cross-platform UI developed separately in SLINT. SLINT has its own DSL but it compiles to Rust.

We've looked at Tauri, Leptos and Dioxus but UI-wise they all seem to want to inject a full web-stack simply to provide the application UI. This seems like using a sledgehammer for a flyswatter. Plus the idea of programming desktop applications in Javascript simply makes my skin crawl.

Any links to any examples or suggestions for creating rust-based desktop apps that embed both SurrealDB and a rust-based UI would be much appreciated.

And we'd be especially keen for any such examples using SLINT - our leading contender for cross-platform UI development.
