A cliff-side Martian City

Imagine a self-sufficient, excavated, vertical city to be built on the cliff of Tempe Mensa on Mars.

Nüwa, a cliff-side Martian city, is proposed to be capable of housing over 4000 settlers.

The excavated solution protect inhabitants from the radiation, ensure indirect access to sunlight, protect from potential impact from meteorites, and efficiently solve the atmospheric pressure difference and temperature variations between the inside and the outside of the buildings.
