Currently, it is possible to click in the browser address bar (sometimes it is a button, sometimes the address bar itself -- depends upon the browser) and then drag that to the desktop. The result is that it creates a <page_name>.desktop file on the desktop which contains only a few items and some of that isn't accurate. For example, it has Icon=text-html rather than the name of an actual icon; e.g., Icon=brave-browser; it has no Exec= entry, includes a URL= entry with the URL, etc.
Instead, it should create a regular desktop entry by copying the browser desktop entry (just as if the user dragged the icon from the menu to the desktop) with all of its content and then modify the Exec=' line to include the URL; e.g., Exec=/usr/bin/brave-browser-stable https://www.britbox.com/`
Even better, if it did the above and then also pulled the icon from the page to be used in the short-cut rather than the icon of the browser; that would be great. I know most browsers can already grab this icon from the page so it seems this should be possible.
As it is, the current short-cut created does open the page if invoked, but the short-cut doesn't support any of the other usual actions when going to Properties. It feels like a stripped down item -- which it is.
