This is not the first time I bring this issue to your attention. Here I try again. People are having a hard time trying to post images and attach large files on https://forums.linuxmint.com. The current maximum allowed file size is 200 KB. That's bad. Things are evolving. Modems and ISPs are super-fast now.
Yes, I know, newcomers could search for some external file sharing service, be brave and go ahead and register into this unknown platform, and then try to ignore all the ads to focus into trying to understand how this web application works, etc.
Or... they could just drag-and-drop pretty much anything right there on the https://forums.linuxmint.com That's 1000000 times faster and easier. They could upload large files, images, or ZIPs, for any file format.
It is very easy to allow bigger file uploads. Of course, you need to make sure you have enough storage space on your servers.
Clem or Xenopeek, all you would have to do is to go to your Administration Control Panel (ACP) > General > Board Configuration > Attachment settings... and change the Maximum file size. It could be any value. Let's say 4 MB, for example.
This issue came up to my mind again, as I saw people having trouble with this, again. Here: https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?p=2422525#p2422525 (French)
People are trying to help or get help, but they are struggling with such basic upload needs...
This is not just about posting nice HR images. Here in my example from the French forum, people are having a hard time trying to share some log files !!!
