Hi,
I just had to make a couple of bash scripts to deactivate and reactivate the keyboard embedded in one of my laptops when I connect or disconnect an external keyboard with USB wireless receiver.
While this was not that complicated to do, I was thinking that, for the average user, it would be nice to have a little switch somewhere on the keyboard section of System Settings of the DE (I use Cinnamon), which would allow to automatically turn off inputs from the embedded keyboard when an external one is detected, for example from a USB port.
A similar switch is already implemented in the Mouse and Touchpad section for the automatic deactivation of the touchpad when an external mouse is detected. Something like that implemented for the keyboard would be great.
