Hello eGeoffrey users,

As anticipated few weeks ago, the eGeoffrey forum has been migrated to Github Discussions, which provides the same level capabilities and more, allows keeping closer our interactions with the development tools and leverages a more solid and high available service like Github.

The forum is still be accessible from the url https://forum.egeoffrey.com as well as through the "Discussions" tab from the GitHub organization home page (https://github.com/orgs/egeoffrey/discussions).

What has been migrated:

• The forum categories
• Every topic and post
• Screenshots, files and attachments

What could not be migrated:

• The original URL and path of the topics
• Authors and timestamp of the original posts (even if this information has been added on top of each migrated post)
• The user base
• The notification settings

How to use the new forum:

• Register an account on GitHub, if not done yet (https://github.com/join)
• Click on "Watch" on top of this page and configure your notification settings.
  • Select "Participating and @mentions" if you want to be notified only when somebody comments your own posts or mention your explicitly OR
  • "Custom" -> "Discussions" if you prefer receiving a message for every new post (recommended)
