The problem is solved. I do not know how. I was installing a lot of plugins and activating them. And suddenly I broke my install. Could not find the problem and just did a fresh install of YourLS. And this time when I installed the Dutch language file it just worked. - Good. But annoying I do not know what I did different this time. |

I just the installed the current install (1.9.2). It works great. Thanks
I have a totally unimportant issue;
I installed the translation files for Dutch & specified it in the config file. No effect.
I haven been tinkering with it. Uploaded that files again, checked of there is read rights ... checked the config. Logged in by means of an other browser.
Also installed French and German to see of that would work. Those files are more recent, for 1.8. No difference. No effect. Stays in English.
I install the .po and .mo file.
And obliviously activate it
define( 'YOURLS_LANG', 'de_DE' );
I have enabled debugging but that does not show anything relevant seems it to me. To be clear; English is fine for me. But a lot of people have put effort in those translations. So it should work. And I do not see what I do wrong.
Also noticed, on this page;
https://yourls.org/docs/guide/extend/languages
'See this article: How to create your own translation file for YOURLS ' - that link does not work anymore. Can not find that linked page.
