I am starting to to believe that a better way to handle this would be for my home directory for the new subdomain (go.domain.com or /public_html/go on the FTP) should be empty except for a single .htaccess file that rewrites the incoming URL and just sends it to /r/keyword instead, so there's only 1 copy of my yourls files and that way the old /r/keyword and new go.domain.com/keywords both work, but how to set the htaccess that way is still eluding me. |

I've had yourls installed in a subdirectory of my domain forever (so short links look like domain.com/r/shortlinkhere) but I want to make it serve out of go.domain.com/shortlinkhere instead.
So I created a subdomain in cPanel, setup the DNS for it, and since I want the old /r links to continue working, I thought I might could just setup yourls again in another directory (/go/ here) and just point it at the same database.
It works somewhat, I can reach my admin from go.domain.com/admin and see all my shortlinks configured and stuff.
But when I try to go to a defined short link, it redirects me to domain.com homepage.
I think it's the HTAccess file that's setup wrong, the copy of it in the new directory (/public_html/go/.htaccess).
It was
And I tried changing it to this but still no luck. Going to go.domain.com/keyword just directs me to domain.com.
It's probably easy but I'm not sure how to solve it.
