• Presented current progress in bug hunting on the backend
  • Arrays are growing too large and crashing the application

• Presented progress on SVGs

Dr. Raston:

• Wants a "screen" to hold the plotted points in the Instrument Window
• SVG updates:
  • Create a hose with 90 degree elbow
  • Update border of source compartment (changed size from repeated copy/pastes)
  • Move mirrors to be equidistant from the compartments
  • Increase size of corner cube width by 50%
  • Increase length of beamsplitter

• Updated Instrument Window SVGs

For 6/20/2023 (late):

• Optimized num scans for best use of memory
• Implemented a way to split the spectra into two halves to further reduce memory load
  • No noticeable improvement
  • I will try splitting the spectra into four parts and see if that helps
• I found that even when a high load run works, running it again can also lead to a crash.
  • Would finding a way to manually garbage collect after adding noise help?
