Brenna:

• Presented work to fixing NaN values with the absorbance spectrum
  • Takes absolute value of sample y-value divided by background y-value because 0 was a possible result occasionally
  • If the new absorbance y-value is greater than 5, the value is set to 5. If the new y-value is less than -5, the value is set to -5

Nick:

• Presented source and detector changing based on user input
  • Gave warning that switches reset to default on rendering. Looking into issue
• Presented current progress on laser rework

Ray:

• Working on setup of Kubernetes dashboard, reading documentation
• Decided to use GitHub's Container Registry
  • HITRAN datasets are not part of the registry yet
• Brought up idea of creating unit testing to check for dependency changes on production version to avert errors

Dr. Raston:

• Change navbar title text from The Raston Lab: FTIR to FTIR - VSI (Fourier Transform Infrared - Virtual Scientific Instrument)
• Wants animation of gas balls (molecules) in sample compartment (gas cell)
• Wants user interactivity and animation with the pump and gas canister valves
  • Bleed/fill depending on if user is collecting a background or sample spectrum
