What if the project is already taken up?

What to do if I want to work on an issue that is already taken up by somebody else? Can I still ask for the same issue to be assigned?

Yes you can still ask for working on that issue and if assigned the better version of the code from all the assigned contributors will be selected.

There will be many a times that same issue is been take by many people but still you can work on that. And if you work code is better then others working on the same issue and Project admin find it the best that your work will get merged.

Projects are assigned to people who are intrested in it,you can work on any project in this programme and if you find any issues in the project you can ask project admin to assign the issue for you and if they did then you can pr the issue if it's good they will accept and merge it!!

Not in that case. If your work will get merged that only u can get points. So start contributing only when you are assigned with that particular task by admin.

Yes, you can still contribute while others are working on the same stuff , and here's where optimal solution will be choosen by the admin. If you have have best solution from that of other contibutors, you win. Hope this helps!
