Code does not work as expected

Description

I am trying to get the structure the player is in, but it always just returns no structure (i tried desert pyramid, fortress and end city)
this is my Code:

public class StructureCheck {

    public static String getStructure() {
        MinecraftClient client = MinecraftClient.getInstance();
        if (client.player == null || client.world == null){
            return "no world";
        }
        Map<Structure, LongSet> structureReferences = client.world.getWorldChunk(client.player.getBlockPos()).getStructureReferences();

its executed every tick using this:

}

This is my first time coding a minecraft mod in java so it might just be a very stupid issue.
What am i doing wrong?
