Other self-hosted map options (with or without self-hosted maps/search) are more established and have better UI. Let's check out their feature set to see what else we might want to do. Maybe we can reuse some code.

Honestly, I am even open to scrapping my UI entirely in favor of theirs (and rebrand as a Sandstorm port). What I won't compromise on is self-hosting the map (which probably means sticking with Protomaps) and main features like integration with Organic Maps.
