I do love seeing comments come through, but I think it's equally as valuable to know when new people subscribe to the channel as well. Thanks!

Seems perfectly doable with this resource: https://developers.google.com/youtube/v3/docs/subscriptions/list where part is subscriberSnippet and mySubscribers is true. However, this resource can't be used with only the generated API key and instead requires an OAuth flow. I can look into this, but it may require extra setup.
