OK this tag is not an official tag recognized by the OSM community. Let's keep watching at it to see if it is adopted but not usable right now. |

It seems there is almost no (or maybe none) informal buildings in WUDAPT while there might be in many cities. In OSM the tag "residential = irregular_settlement" can be added for "landuse=residential" (https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:residential%3Dirregular_settlement). This might be used to tag the building type ?
We have checked for some well known informal areas they do not have this tag but only the "landuse=residential" tag. However this tag can be added easily to large areas if needed and thus might be useful in the future.
