resolve #111 for TB78

This solves the keybinding problem of #111. It goes back to WL 1.28 (a TB 'glue' component) from WL 1.45.

This is only possible for TB 78 (as long as not multiprocess). For TB 86 and above, we need another problem solution.

I did not test 'all' functionality, but S + folder completion is working, the options come up and folder completion is working on the keys tab, as well.

Attention: the old WL does not display the cog symbol for options on addon page. Either use tools->Nostalgy++, or options from the dropdown menu on the addons page.

This release has some new features:

  • Esc-r shows/opens the attachment list of a message. Esc-1 (-2, -3 etc.) displays the first, second ... image attachment. No longer do we need to open an external image viewer to have a preview of Photo/image attachments.

  • The width of the folderbox in characters can be set in a pref.

  • The help text in statusbar has been put into a tooltip to give more space for long foldernames.

This also solves issues #6, #17, #29, #34, #35, #36, #37, #38, #45, #47.

Due to a bug in some TB glue software, the old commandline text cannot be removed because we don't have an icon for Nostalgy++. Such an icon is not required, but if not existing, cleanup crashes and stuff is not removed. (TB bug is resolved for new versions).

So please close and reopen TB after installation. Then, the new short statusbar with help button and tooltip will be displayed.

cleaning up a packaging error
Please use the xpi, the zip and tar are still old).

This version covers about everything except:

*box showing previous folders not active. Didn't work in TB 60 as well.
*workaround: shift-S moves to last folder if no rule exists

This now works:

links are now shown in status line (thanks MLopez-Ibanez)

messagedisplay in window allows s, c
*esc f, esc m, esc esc, esc esc esc are ok, but a bit tricky in timing (best if esc and f pressed quickly after each other)
*in tab utilities: restart button (helpful if many windows are open - no need to close thhem separately)

more to come: e.g. move email and create new rule

*it truely was a lot (many hours) of work. There are many undocumented changes for TB 68. May continue as new official addon nostalgy++. But maybe Alain is willing to transfer nostalgy to me for future development? I definitely am interested to add new features.

  • and THANKS to Alain for writing this excellent addon. For long folderlists, it is truely indispensable.

thanks,

Klaus
