The SensorML standard states that the Unique Identifier must be a gml:identifier with the codespace "uniqueID" (pg 81). However, there is inconsistency primarily in SensorML examples. For example:

  • immediately in the SensorML standard documentation the examples on page 81-82 show use of the codespace "uid" instead of "uniqueID"

  • the same is true with many or possibly all of the examples on the www.sensorml.com website.

These examples need to be fixed and everything checked for consistency.

Is this an issue with the OSH software or the OGC SOS 2.0 standard specification?

Hi Sam. Its only an issue with the documentation, the examples, and the relaxNG profile rules. Should affect any software.
