The Open Movement project is a collection of hardware and software developed under open source terms with a variety of uses in mind, including: health research, digital interaction, instrumentation, gaming and music. With a global community of users ranging from blue-chip fortune 500 companies, Ivy League universities and major health research organisations, Open Movement has fast being positioned as a set of standards.

The Open Movement repository exists as a set of sub-projects with interlinked dependancies. The major components in this repository are:

  • AX3 - A logging tri-axial accelerometer
  • AX9 - A logging IMU with Bluetooth capability (accelerometer, gyro and magnetometer)
  • WAX3 - A 802.15.4 based wireless streaming accelerometer
  • WAX9 - A Bluetooth compatible wireless streaming IMU (accelerometer, gyro, magnetometer)
  • AXi - A programmable logging IMU with haptic capability
  • WeighAX - Wireless bathroom scales
  • BuildAX - An environmental monitoring infrastructure

This repository is setup to share and distribute code behind Open Movement sensors. The sensors are also available under commercial terms via our approved distributor Axivity Ltd.
