When a customer makes multiple orders within an order cycle it would save time to be able to automatically merge the orders in the backend to streamline invoicing and packing. Having to do this manually is a common frustration for some of our hubs in CAN. For various reasons, some hubs will have one customer with multiple orders (i.e 4-6 orders) within one order cycle. These hubs have been merging these multiple orders into one order manually on the backend, by systematically going through and deleting products from one order and then adding those products to the one order to be kept so that there is only one order per customer with one invoice (& payment total) to be used at pickup. As you can image this can get very time consuming to do for multiple customers (2.5 hrs plus). They have asked about the ability to automatically merge two orders (within an order cycle). Having customers be able to add products to an existing order would also eliminate the need for multiple orders.
Success factors = expected outcome
A new function in the orders list where you can select 2 (or more) orders from the same customer, within one order cycle, and choose to 'merge' them into one order.
OR
When a hub/shop allows customers to edit their orders, this would include the ability to be able to add products to their existing order.
Useful information for inception
