Not sure that applies in your case, but the history page is a history of accessed products, and the carousel is limited to scanned products.

It was indeed a scanned barcode.

Then perhaps it'd make sense to add each new scanned product to history, wouldn't it?
Same remark for prices products btw, or creating a specific "my prices product" list.
