Smoothie was meant to be an experimental application and not a simple Flutter implementation of Open Food Facts.

The product page has been the center of food scanning applications since the beginning. How about making our comparing / recommendation feature the center of Smoothie?

Let's start from the idea that one product alone is insignificant. If you want a product that is considered bad, if there is no alternative then there is nothing we can do about it. Therefore the user should always be presented with a list of products.
The strength of Smoothie will be its ability to display, sort or rank these lists according to the user's preferences.

Finally we get rid of the product page and replace it with an overlay user's can access by long pressing a product. This reduces the amount of navigation required and eases the task of going through a list of products.

Discussion:

• Are we comfortable removing the product page?
• What is the essential data to display? If the goal is to help the user choose between products some elements (eg: nutrition table picture, ingredients picture) are not necessary.

How exactly do you imagine an overlay. A future scenario that we must not forget is deeplinking. That means it should be possible to call up a product via the navigator
