I think the problem with the old design with the navigation bar was that you always landed on the choose page which looks good but has no real use. The current homepage can also display other information such as the products last seen. |

I think compare describes better what the goal of choose is. I think the best way is to go back to the navigation bar later but replace choose with the homepage because the choose feature actually only takes part in the scanner |

The original navigation bar was based on user intention (Choose, Contribute, Organize and Track). Isolating each feature makes the application more comprehensive. Smoothie should feel like a user friendly tool, users come with a specific task in mind, thus having all the features displayed on a home page similar to a feed seem irrelevant.
