Goal

The original source is the list of Armenian monuments all over the world and images, as well as 3D photos of the Armenian architecture of Ani and Khetzkonk https://raa-am.org/.

The goal is to create data sets in machine-readable data formats (CSV, GeoJSON) for objects with geographic coordinates.

Tasks

There are sources of data on Armenian monuments around the world, images, and 3D photos of Armenian architecture. The data is available in HTML format.

It is necessary to parse HTML with information about different architectural objects and save it in machine-readable formats (e.g. GeoJSON, CSV), keeping the geographical coordinates of objects and metadata of images or 3D photos.

  • Armenian Monuments Photos (HTML)
287358 Armenian monuments in the world with various search filters. (http://www.armenianmonumentsimages.com)

  • 3D photos and plans of Western Armenian monasteries (HTML)
Lists of Armenian monuments all over the world and images, as well as 3D photos of Armenian architecture. (https://raa-am.org/en/3d)

  • Search Armenian Monuments (HTML)
Letter-based index of Armenian monuments with detailed information about each of them and linking the connected monuments. Search is available via monument names and locations. Also, various maps (as images) are provided for different provinces, showing the schools of the locality, former ethnic distributions, casualties from Abdul Hamid's massacres, administrative maps, monuments together, and Christian and Muslim monuments separately. Requirements

Data should be published under a CC license.
