Update solution to allow new development machine build(s)

Cloning the solution should provide any developer with the necessary files / packages to edit and compile with a minimum of changes.

This is currently not possible due to compilation errors.

Make necessary changes to allow additional developer(s) to quickly hop in and produce meaningful code in a short period of time.

Note: This is a bookmark for changes I found necessary after cloning the repository, but not being able to compile. Please assign this issue to me.

Thanks, yes I'm sure any docs we have will be out of date, please flag here any things that need updated/included (or submit a pull request if you like).
