[feature request] additional "custom" keyboard assignments

As themes gain more features (search, multifilter, etc) and plug in options grow it would help my configuration to be able to have a few more custom action input mappings then the 6 currently offered. Would it be possible to up this to, say, 9?

Not sure which 6 mappings you're referring to. There are 5 inputs that can have default action redefined. The rest can be reassigned in the layout code using signal callback function if that's what you mean.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. In AM under Input Map, in addition to the standard inputs (up, down, select, etc) there are 6 "inputs" you can assign buttons to labeled "custom1", "custom2", ..., "custom6". These input assignments are used by layouts and plug ins to help trigger specific actions (for example, I use "custom1" to bring up the search function in ArcadeFlow, and "custom2" to trigger a layout rotation using a plugin.
My use case is unusual (3-sided cocktail machine with lots of controls), but it would help my use case to be able to have "custom7", "custom8", and "custom9" available for assignment to functions in layouts and plugins as well.
