The master collection version is based on the Xbox port of Substance, as it also lacks some effects and others are toned down. |
Would be really nice to se port of SOS to new release, also would be nice to some portions o SOS code ported to MGS 3 on pc too, because its 3rd camera at some cases is not really well implement and i think this mod does it better. |
The thing is that porting the mod wouldn't be straightforward, as it was made by reverse engineering parts of the game, so the mod would have to be remade from scratch. There are some leftovers from the development process that might make it easier, but it's still gonna be hard. |

Hi, do we know yet what would be required yet to port this to the Master Collection version of MGS2, given that this will be the most widely available modern port?
I'm believe the port is based on the Bluepoint remaster which I think from memory was based on the PS2 version of Substance, rather than the original MGS2 PC release but I've no sources.
I'm guessing it won't be a case of just updating the various memory addresses in the main mod file.
Do we have any concrete information about the MC port technically?
