Two systhreads were waiting in st_masterlock_acquire to get the master lock, even though it wasn't busy!

This appears to be due to glibc bug 25847 (reported in 2020 and still not fixed). There is more discussion in Is there a known recent Linux locking bug that affects the OCaml runtime?.
