Gestures

Application used to debug the UI gesture handling code.

Drag and flick the rectangles around with a mouse or touch input. The flick animation renders at the native framerate for maximum fluidity.

Furthermore, we also show a frame pacing test animation that can be used to determine if the frame pacing is correct. The frame pacing animation consists of two 'cyan' blocks. One that moves left to right at the bottom of the screen and one that moves and down on the right side of screen. The animation of the blocks is updated with a fixed number of pixels in each draw call so they will move at a constant pixel speed per drawn frame. Which means any frame pacing issues will show up as a stuttering animation of the blocks.

Keybindings

The app can be controlled using:

Key Result
Space Reset everything to initial positions
x Toggle the visibility of the x frame pacing animation on and off.
y Toggle the visibility of the y frame pacing animation on and off.
