Hi John,

There are a few things I would like to discuss with you regarding the wording of the app and the translation of some words:

• The word "Keen"- Do you insist to use the word keen in the meaning of passionate, energetic, impatient; to sound not so formal and rather in the language/slang of the young people/teenagers.... Is this the type of feeling you want to implement in the app? I want to make everything consistent, including the language and the words chosen (this will also affect design things like colors, icons, font, etc).

I need some clarification on the sports that are available for selection:

• Walk - is this the sport of speed/race walking or just strolling around?

• Cycle - is this riding bicycle anywhere or may be some other form like the fix "bicycles" you can find in the gym?

• Boules - do you consider this the same - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P%C3%A9tanque ?

Keen was chosen as a short eloquent alternate to "want". Choosing another alternative is certainly possible. What do you suggest?

Note also that it is easy to add additional language alternatives to qwikgame. This was designed to accommodate languages in the formal sense such as Bulgarian. But it could just as easily be used to deploy English(formal), English(youth), Australian, or Jive.

The difficulty in organising a game of Squash was the original motivation; but qwikgame.org grew from the realization that there are many 2 player games that have the need to find a well matched rival at a convenient time and place. The current list of "games" is simply an exploration of this idea - and can be expanded or contracted very easily.
Walk can relate to a stroll, a hike or a trek. These could be listed individually, but in any case there is the qwikgame idea that two people of similar ability would like to take a walk, for an hour, a day or a week (it depends on the venue)
Cycle likewise, cycle could cover both activities (mobile & fixed) or we can separate them out very easily
Boules is perhaps a super-set of Pétanque.

It's difficult for me to suggest something, because it's not my native language... if it was me, I would probably go with " I would like to play..." but I guess this is not the perfect tone for this domain. So, whatever you say. I just checked the exact meaning of "keen" to understand how to translate and found it has this touch of informality. I guess I may change the translation later if needed depending on other things.

I really like the idea of having these different... slangs? I don't think this is very common and it will be interesting and fun.

Note that some of the English phrases have words emphasised as a type of stylistic theme. This can be reflected in the Bulgaian word to be emphasised by enclosing with html tags.

In short language can be selected based on location but the code has not been written yet. I have raised a new Issue to add this functionality.

The logic is contained in the function Page->selectLanguage()
basically .....
Use the language requested by the Player in the current http POST
if no POST language then continue to use the language set for the SESSION
if no SESSION language then use the language set in the Player account
if no Player language then choose a language based on the geo-location (not implemented)
if geo-location fails then default to English

1. I can't edit the "license" row. It seems blocked for BG. This applies for the below as well (I translated them yesterday, now a part is missing and can't correct):

2. Sometimes the html tags remain instead of being decoded, I think this happens when I try to edit the row more than once before the approval. Also, sometimes if I make changes after your approval, both versions remain. But I think, that after your second approval this is getting corrected. I will confirm this later.

The bold tags stay even after approval for the below rows.

• I_am_keen_to...

This relatively simple form works OK for simple translations but not well at all for more involved phrases involving complex html elements. The licence phrase is clearly the worst of these.

I have manually adjusted these phrases so that you can have another go at translating to bg

I think that you are describing intended behaviour.
When an existing phrase is edited, the form should show the original (in black) and the new (in green), until the new is approved or rejected.
