Not every site specifically needs Giscus/Staticman/Disqus/Hyvor comments, and Mastodon allows for a quasi-comments section linked to a post on the Fediverse, the best of both worlds.

This has already been implemented unofficially in Hugo and Zola.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Implementing Schwan's solution myself but I'm a dumbass and it didn't work :(

Additional context
This is more of an open issue to any contributor, it would be nice to have a docs bit on how to do this manually or a more official implementation.
