Consider QGIS feature request to support asynchronous online layer loads #715

Currently, project load is dependent on GetCapabilities requests for every online layer. Why make project load wait for this for all layers, including un-toggled ones? I don't think "just-in-time" is necessarily right either, but at least don't block the project from loading.
