Typing fast causes duplicate characters to be typed

I booted up the installer, and the first thing on the installer is to test my keyboard. I found when I type very slowly, everything works fine. But when I type multiple keys in rapid succession, many of the keys repeat, typing out the word "test" really quickly results in something like "tetestessstt". This is with defaults settings on the installer, I made no changes. My keyboard is a FNATIC C-KB0002

This error occurred using real hardware, not in a VM
