Just found Imago. I like it a lot better than Canon's EOS Webcam Utility since Imago does 16:9 while the Canon does 4:3 with pillar boxing. It also seems to have slightly better latency.

Just a couple of suggestions that would make it work best for me.

  1. It would be great if it could automatically connect to the camera on load so there's no need to press the Start button.
  2. I would prefer this app live in the menu bar and not the dock.
  3. It doesn't seem to work in QuickTime player (nor does the Canon tool) but it would be nice if it did.

3. I'm not sure why that would be the case but I'll look into it
