I'm interested in organizing the Los Angeles chapter.

It's best not to go alone, do you have anyone to partner with in LA?

We don't yet have a guide on how to start a chapter but we do have some guidelines. In fact I opened an issue about it on #71. A PR to this site adding your event is a good place to start. Most people use meetup.com.

@reconbot not sure how I missed this message. I do have a co-partner, she works for Ozobot
I also co-organize js.la, mentor nodeschoolLA and provide support for the nodebots day that CAA hosts. I dig the format of having a Story-Time / Hack Night with a workshop a couple weeks later.
