Error with spatial qaqc function

A new error occurs when running the spatial qaqc function:

Loop 0 is not valid: Edge 7 is degenerate (duplicate vertex)

The error arises from st_intersects(dat_sf, base_map), and I think it's an issue with the base_map because another call of this function with dat_sf works in the function.
