Brief description of what was accomplished with this project
With a group of people interested in physiological recordings (such as cardiac pulse, respiratory belt, CO2, ...), we gathered to start developing a new tool that converts physiological recording files acquired outside of the scanner (e.g. AcqKnowledge, LabChart, ...) into BIDS formatted files in a similar way to heudiconv.
During DCCC @rmarkello repackaged the script coded by @smoia to become a package, and all together we designed a restructuring of the internal code. We also started opening issues and managing the project development with external contributors.
This package could be the first step toward a library of tools to acquire, BIDSify, preprocess and analyse physiological data, and could be integrated later with afni_proc in order to ease operations such as retroicor or adding regressors to a 3dDeconvolve.
