Improving bids-statsmodels implementation and interoperability with AFNI

Project summary

We worked on Fitlins, Pybids, and BIDS-StatsModels spec to improve the spec, make it more interoperable with AFNI, and make it easier for investigators to fit BIDS specified models to BIDS formatted datasets.

Notes:

  • Allow replacing nistats.first_level_model with 3dREMLfit in FitLins: Add AFNI 3dREMLfit for first-level estimation poldracklab/fitlins#171
    • Status: Approved, pending a CircleCI test with AFNI installed
  • Disable masking for first-level GLMs, for the sake of improved diagnostics.
    • Add slices of unmasked t-maps to reports (MRIQC-style)
    • Glass brains to remain masked in reports
    • Output images to be unmasked, for user exploration
    • Status: Planned
