https://crates.io/crates/get_local_ip , UNIX , brand new, currently just an ifconfig wrapper, may be interesting to see where it goes.
https://crates.io/crates/ifaces , UNIX, not actively maintained
https://crates.io/crates/ipconfig , WIN , semi-actively maintained

implemented with https://github.com/nicmr/rust-interfaces, which should be crossplatform, but still needs to be tested

nicmr added OS:WINDOWS and removed enhancement labels
